		This page shows Tom's (and his brothers' and sisters') direct ancestors - his parents, their parents, and so back. It is presented first in Pedigree format. This quite easy to follow to follow since it is in effect a diagram. After that the same information is presented in Ahnentafel format. I gather that Ahnentafel is a German word; perhaps any German speakers out there might like to translate it for me. As you look down the list you see first Tom's name, then his parents' names as the second generation. His grandparents come next as the third generation, and so on. This allows room for a little bit more information than the Pedigree format, but is perhaps not quite so easy to follow. For the moment I have simply shown names and dates and places of birth, marriage and death.
